Here's what went down on The Clouded Revolution's first official holiday.
Whitewashed, minimalist #homegoals.
House of Small Wonder (Pictures 1 & 2)
Any self-respecting brunch fiend should pay a visit this Japanese-influenced restaurant. Recommendations: fluffy scrambled eggs and the granola bowls are a must.
CabSlam (Pictures 3 & 4)
Located in East Berlin, CabSlam sticks out not only for its location (wedged in a corner between the River Spree and a park) but for its choice of background music and the hilariously-worded menu. Recommendations: Eggs of Pope Benedict and the Eggs Plate (the latter comes with two mini-pancakes for those who cannot choose between a sweet or savoury brunch).
Round 1 of our evening Asian tour. Recommended to us by two separate people, and highly ranked on sundry travel sites, it offers typical Vietnamese dishes, cooked to perfection. Super affordable, too.
It doesn't get any more authentic than YamYam, which is a Korean deli (also recommended to us by a previous visitor) serving traditional dishes like Bibimbap and Gimbap. First-timers should make sure to include Kimchi in their choice of dish.
