The best part of being a stylist is getting to work with beautifully designed pieces and giving them your own twist. So, needless to say, I was more than thrilled when Saz Mifsud asked me to highlight different ways of wearing her magical scarves! We spent an afternoon unravelling her beautiful silk designs and playing around with different ways of wearing them. The following posts will feature but a few options; really, the possibilities are endless! For the first of the series I wore a simple black crop top (ASOS) along with high-waisted skinnies (ASOS), the perfect minimalist backdrop for Saz's wonderful creations.
So maybe you've spotted this look on the blog before. Here's the post, should you need a reminder! It's a pretty simple method, knot at the nape of the neck, second knot at the small of your back and you're sorted!
The larger sized scarves will come in super handy once the air starts to cool down! Simply throw over your shoulders for a light shrug or kinch at the waist. You've got a wonderful silk cape now!
Add a little interest to your everyday jeans by adding an apron/mini over. By simply twisting the scarf over the thighs and tying it all together on the back, you've got yourself a little apron! Suggestion:vWear over a simple pencil skirt to give it a whole new look!
The Pussy Bow
Just tie your scarf into a bow at the base of your neck. Instant upgrade to any plain old tee!
The Neck Scarf
Favoured by Audrey Hepburn, Bridget Bardot and the likes, the neck wrap/scarf is a fashion staple. Simply wrap scarf round your neck and finish off with a rough knot on the side.
I'll be back with more soon, but until then you should really visit Saz Mifsud's website for more beautiful silk wonders.
